Talent Being Lost

For the past 5-10 years we have been losing, and for the next 5-10 years we will be losing, resources (manpower) that are significant to the industry. Some may say, so what, no problem, but the knowledge and lessons learned they take or have taken with them is significant. Within IT and other industries for the past few years there has been an influx of new talent. They will no doubt bring with them a commitment, passion, enthusiasm, and innovative or creative thoughts. But there will be a gap. As each nation’s economy continues to grow, develop, improve and/or gain stability, the knowledge and lessons learned of many individuals will be retired, because they, the resource, will be. Does every industry maintain knowledge bases that have captured this knowledge and lessons learned not only for projects but also for business and technical project management? I mean on a wide scale and not just for privileged groups or organizations (unless you are a part of, you may not receive or acquire some significant information, knowledge, and lessons learned that leads to successful projects). This being the primary reason the “RayAnn Knowledge Transfer Network (RKTN)” was developed!!
