Mr. Robinson Akiri, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), has over 25 years experience in program/project management, business management, and human resources’ development. Mr. Akiri is currently Education and Programs Vice-Chair for the International Development SIG (PMI) and Project Manager, International Development Project Management Guide Project. Mr. Akiri was “Speaker of the Month” at the PMI Keystone Chapter, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (October 10, 2001) and PMI Delaware Valley Chapter, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (May 14, 2001). He is a Founding Member of Management Consultant to the Southwest Philadelphia Charter School. He is currently working on his doctorate degree in Management at the University of Management and Technology. In Africa, among others things, he was consultant to the United Nations Development Program (1991- 1995); and project management consultant to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (1991-97). He was also Head, Project Management Division (1982-86), at the World Bank-assisted Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute, Nigeria. He was “Africa Regional Training Consultant” (1984/85) on AMTA, a World Bank /ADB /IFAD /OAU SRTC sponsored, project management development program for Africa. He was an Invited Lecturer (1985) at the Development and Project Planning Centre, University of Bradford, U.K., and Program Manager, Arid Zone Afforestation Program, Northeastern Nigeria (1974-77)
